Job summary

Teachers Mutual Bank Limited is seeking a Data Governance Manager to uplift and embed the bank's Data Governance framework. The role sits in the Chief Data Office and will drive ownership, data quality, and practical governance while supporting regulatory priorities including EFS reporting and Open Banking.

You will provide trusted advice across complex initiatives, including technology change and AI, helping build a mature and sustainable data management approach for the bank.

Qualifications

• Experience in Data Governance within financial services.
• Experience in data quality management and assurance.
• Experience developing or updating Data Governance policies, standards and procedures.
• Hands-on experience designing data solutions to support compliance and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Uplift and embed Data Governance framework including governance, reporting and assurance.
• Strengthen management of critical data elements, ownership, lineage, retention and data quality.
• Provide practical, risk-based Data Governance advice across technology change, AI and regulatory initiatives.
• Act as escalation point for Data Governance incidents, supporting investigation and regulatory notifications.
• Develop and maintain Data Governance policies, standards and procedures while monitoring regulatory change.
• Collaborate with Risk, Compliance, Technology and Privacy to embed governance.
