Job summary

Talent International, partnering with a major NSW Government organisation, seeks a Data Governance Specialist to lead the design and establishment of an enterprise-wide Data Governance Framework and Operating Model. You will work with senior executives to define ownership, stewardship, policies and accountability, ensuring practical, sustainable governance across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience designing enterprise Data Governance Frameworks
• Strong ownership, stewardship, governance structures and accountability knowledge
• Proven ability to engage senior executives
• Experience guiding change in large organisations
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Public sector NSW Government experience would be highly regarded

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of an Enterprise Data Governance Framework and Operating Model.
• Identify key data domains, ownership and stewardship responsibilities.
• Develop governance structures, policies, standards, procedures and accountability models.
• Provide expert advice on data governance best practices and industry standards.
• Engage with executives and stakeholders to build consensus and buy-in.
• Develop recommendations for implementation, change management and capability uplift.
• Identify and manage governance-related risks and challenges.
• Establish practical governance arrangements that support enterprise-wide data management.
