Job summary

Talent Web Recruitment in Sydney is seeking an experienced Data Governance Analyst to support a data transformation within a large organisation. You will help mature governance practices, establish ownership, and ensure data is managed securely and effectively.

You will work across business and technology teams to implement frameworks, policies and KPIs, driving data quality and a data-driven culture.

This role offers hybrid working and a 6-month day-rate contract with a lucrative rate.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in data governance, data management and data quality.
• Ability to establish data ownership and stewardship models.
• Experience with metadata, data lineage and Master Data Management.
• Able to work across business and technology teams and communicate with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the data governance strategy.
• Develop and maintain data governance frameworks, policies, standards and processes.
• Establish data ownership and stewardship models.
• Improve data quality, accuracy, consistency and integrity.
• Define data validation rules and governance KPIs.
• Collaborate with privacy, risk, compliance and security teams.
• Bridge business and technology teams on data initiatives.
• Facilitate governance forums and stakeholder discussions.
• Support metadata management and data lineage practices.
• Contribute to a data-driven culture through education and awareness.
