Job summary

Emanate Technology in Adelaide is seeking a Data Engineer to design, build and maintain scalable data platforms and pipelines in secure, highly regulated environments. You will work with software engineers, systems engineers and stakeholders to deliver robust data solutions for analytics and business-critical applications, including ingestion, transformation and delivery across environments.

The role requires NV1 clearance and Australian citizenship, with a culture that values collaboration,

Qualifications

• Experience developing and supporting data engineering solutions in production environments.
• Strong Python development skills to build maintainable, high-quality software.
• Experience developing and maintaining ETL, ELT or data integration pipelines.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases.
• Understanding of data modelling, data architecture and data management principles.
• Experience with distributed data processing technologies (e.g., PySpark).
• Knowledge of data quality, validation and cleansing techniques.
• Experience in Agile or modern software development environments.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Exposure to cloud-based data platforms and services is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and support scalable data platforms and pipelines for analytics, software applications and business-critical capabilities.
• Develop robust data solutions covering data ingestion, transformation, storage and delivery across diverse environments.
• Collaborate with software engineers, systems engineers, architects and stakeholders to deliver high-quality data capabilities and improve platform performance.
