Job summary

Clicks IT Recruitment seeks a Lead Data Systems Data Engineer in Canberra (ACT) for a 12-month contract with extensions. The role focuses on building secure, scalable enterprise data platforms and analytics capabilities within a regulated government program.

The incumbent will design, support and evolve data platforms, pipelines and analytics tooling using SQL Server, SAS, R, Python and Power BI, with deployment in Microsoft Azure. NV1 clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Experience designing, implementing and supporting secure and reliable enterprise data platforms.
• Hands-on data engineering across SQL, data modelling, integration, and pipelines.
• Experience deploying or supporting data services in Microsoft Azure.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and improve secure data platforms and analytical environments.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines, data models, integrations and database solutions.
• Administer and support analytical platforms including SQL Server, SAS, R, Python and Power BI.
• Deploy and support data-related services in Microsoft Azure following security and change processes.
• Support modelling environments using virtualization, OS and container technologies.
• Develop scripts to automate deployment, monitoring and testing.
• Create technical designs, runbooks and support guidance.
• Provide technical advice and stakeholder support.
