Randstad is partnering with a Queensland Government Department to recruit a Data Engineer / Report Developer for a Brisbane CBD-based 12-month contract with potential extension, delivering enhanced Data Warehouse solutions and Power BI reporting to drive business decisions.

The role focuses on shaping data models, ETL workflows, and semantic data layers, ensuring high-quality data insights and stakeholder collaboration across the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• High-level expertise in Microsoft data suite (SSAS, SSIS, SSRS), MS Fabric, and Power BI.
• Experience in data warehouse development, ETL workflows, and data mapping.
• Solid understanding of conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling.
• Proven track record of collaborating with business SMEs to refine requirements.
• Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills with strong stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Analyse, detail, and document comprehensive reporting and data requirements.
• Undertake ETL development and optimize performance across SQL Server and MS Fabric.
• Design and implement operational data stores alongside semantic models.
