Job summary

Origin Energy in Brisbane is seeking a skilled BI developer to design, build and support Power BI, Power Platform and data integration solutions across Generation, LPG and Business Energy.

You will transform operational data into meaningful reporting, develop Power BI datasets and dashboards, and build data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric Dataflows, Lakehouse technologies and APIs. Strong SQL skills and experience with data warehouses are key.

Qualifications

• Experience designing BI and data integration solutions in complex environments.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and ability to translate requirements into solutions.
• Proficiency with Power BI, Power Platform, SQL and data warehousing concepts.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Power BI datasets, semantic models, dashboards and refresh configurations.
• Translate business requirements into effective Power BI and Tableau reporting solutions.
• Develop and support Power Platform components (Power Apps, Power Automate, SharePoint lists).
• Build and maintain data integration pipelines using Lakehouse technologies and Fabric Dataflows.
• Manage BI changes through intake, backlog, testing and deployment processes.
• Investigate data discrepancies across source systems and data warehouse layers.
• Document data lineage and business rules to reduce key-person dependency.
