Job summary

Randstad collaborates with a Queensland Government Department to appoint a Data Engineer / Report Developer for a Brisbane CBD-based 12-month contract. You will enhance a Data Warehouse and build impactful Power BI reports to guide business decisions.

The role requires strong SQL Server skills (SSAS/SSIS/SSRS), Power BI, MS Fabric, ETL, and experience delivering semantic data models in a Microsoft-centric environment.

Qualifications

• High-level expertise in Microsoft data suite (SSAS, SSIS, SSRS), MS Fabric, and Power BI.
• Demonstrated experience in data warehouse development, ETL workflows, and data mapping.
• Solid understanding of Conceptual, Logical, and Physical data modeling.
• Proven track record of collaborating with business SMEs to refine requirements.

Responsibilities

• Analyse, detail, and document comprehensive reporting and data requirements.
• Undertake ETL development and optimize performance across SQL Server and MS Fabric.
• Develop CI/CD deployment pipelines utilizing Microsoft DevOps.
• Design and implement operational data stores alongside semantic models.
• Create and deliver interactive reports utilizing Power BI to meet core business needs.
