Job summary

Snowy Hydro is seeking a hands-on Data Engineer to join our Platform Engineering and Data Ops team on a 12-month fixed-term contract in Sydney. You will design, build, and test core data pipelines across the Enterprise Data Platform, implementing Medallion architecture and integration with SAP and ServiceNow using Snowflake, Python and SQL.

The role emphasizes CI/CD production tooling, data governance, and automated testing, with opportunities to leverage AI-assisted engineering to accelerate

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience designing Medallion architecture (Bronze-Silver-Gold) and data ingestion across core enterprise systems.
• Strong Snowflake, Python and SQL skills, with CI/CD experience.
• Experience with data governance, privacy, and pipeline observability.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and test end-to-end data pipelines across the Enterprise Data Platform.
• Implement Medallion architecture layers (Bronze, Silver, Gold) and native connectors for ingestion.
• Collaborate with Data Governance, Architecture, and Reporting & Analytics teams.
• Develop automated tests and CI/CD processes for data pipelines.
