Job summary

P&N Bank is seeking a Data Engineer to strengthen its Financial Crime Maturity Program. You will build data products that support customer risk assessment, transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, fraud detection, and regulatory reporting.

This hands-on role emphasizes modern data platforms, cloud technologies, data governance, and collaboration with cross‑functional teams to deliver practical, compliant solutions for financial crime risks.

Qualifications

• At least four years' experience in Data Engineering or related technical disciplines.
• Experience designing and supporting production-grade data pipelines.
• Strong SQL capability.
• Proficiency in Python, Scala, Java, or Go.
• Experience with cloud data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, Redshift, Synapse).
• Experience with modern data engineering tools (DBT, Airflow, Dagster, Fivetran, Airbyte, AWS DMS).
• Understanding of data governance concepts including lineage and metadata.
• Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code.
• Exposure to AML/CTF, fraud prevention, or financial crime tech is valuable.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable data pipelines that support financial crime use cases.
• Develop curated datasets for risk management, investigations, reporting, and analytics.
• Integrate data from banking systems, payment platforms, apps, and third‑party providers.
• Implement data quality controls and maintain data lineage across systems and reports.
• Support customer risk models, detection rules, monitoring scenarios, and analytical features.
• Contribute to governance of critical data assets and privacy/security compliance.
