Job summary

APM is seeking a Data Engineer in Australia to design and implement scalable data platforms using Microsoft Fabric and Power BI. You will work with data ingestion, transformation, modelling and reporting to deliver reliable analytics for stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft Fabric and modern cloud-based data platforms.
• Strong SQL and data modelling skills.
• Experience building and supporting data pipelines and integration solutions.
• Knowledge of Lakehouse, data warehousing and analytics concepts.
• Experience using Python and PySpark for data transformation.
• Exposure to Power BI, semantic models and reporting solutions.
• Understanding of data governance, security, access controls and compliance requirements.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities within project and operational environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and support data solutions using Microsoft Fabric and related components.
• Develop batch and near real-time data pipelines from various sources.
• Create data transformations using SQL, Python and PySpark.
• Implement Medallion Architecture across Bronze, Silver and Gold layers.
• Support the development and optimisation of Power BI datasets and reports.
• Monitor data quality, performance, reliability and security.
• Maintain data lineage, runbooks and technical standards.
