Job summary

Securitas is hiring a Data Centre Security Officer in NSW. The role focuses on access control, visitor screening, and maintaining data centre security while delivering strong customer service. The position offers casual hours with a pay rate of $49.94 per hour and duties include patrols and incident reporting.

Shift times are 6AM to 6PM. You will need NV1 clearance, reliable punctuality, and a commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• Must hold current NV1 clearance.
• Candidates with customer service experience are essential.
• Ability to resolve conflicts and negotiate effectively.
• Be punctual, reliable and professional at all times.
• Demonstrate strong observational skills for security purposes.
• Capable of basic to intermediate PC tasks using MS Office.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
• Protect premises, occupants and property; report incidents.
• Greet visitors and employees and assist as appropriate.
• Carry out site patrols and accurate report writing.

About the Role

Our clientis a world leader in the Information Technology sector. Their rapid growth in the Data Centre segment has created a new opportunity for a Security Officer.

The security team in theselocations playan important role in ensuring that the clients data integrity is always maintained.As the first point of contact visitors and contractors entering the facility, the Security team at these locations needto leave a lasting impression of exceptional customer service.

Primary duties are to screen visitors to and from the secure area with a handheld metal wand. Customer service is a focus, with some administrative tasks.

Pay rate: $49.94 per hour

Shift Timings: 6AM to 6PM

Skills and Experience:

• Must hold current NV-1 Clearance
• Customer service experience is essential
• Conflict resolution and negation skills required
• Must be punctual and responsible
• Exceptional customer service standards
• Basic to Intermediate PC skills (MS Suite)
• Compliance of all relevant company policies and procedures
• Protection of premises occupants, protection of real and personal property
• Report writing and Site patrol duties
• Greet visitors and employees and assist as appropriate
