Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. in Sydney is seeking a Data Center Technician to deliver exceptional maintenance and customer service for a critical client environment. The role involves rotating 12-hour shifts, site-based work, and adherence to CBRE policies.

You will perform PM tasks, monitor BMS/UPS equipment, and support emergency call outs. The position requires experience in data center environments, electrical licensing, and CMMS/BMS familiarity.

Qualifications

• Must understand all safety code requirements related to providing the service.
• Experience: 3-4 years maintaining critical & temperature-controlled environments.
• Detailed understanding of electrical and mechanical systems in data centers.
• Experience with CMMS and BMS systems.
• Subcontractor management and supervision experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure maintenance activities meet Health and Safety, risk, and uptime criteria.
• Maintain high standards of response to asset performance and incident closure.
• Carry out routine planned preventative maintenance on HV/LV systems and associated plant and HVAC equipment.
• Monitor BMS for running and alarm conditions; take meter readings.
• Investigate faults, identify root causes, and apply remedies.
• Prepare accurate service/incident reports; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Assist with equipment installation and data capture; support on-call roster.
• Provide relief to Shift Lead; contribute to team meetings and reporting.
