Job summary

Amazon seeks a Software Development Engineer for the Data Center Life Cycle in Sydney. You will join a diverse team that designs, builds, and operates AWS data center software and tooling to ensure reliable, scalable infrastructure.

You will own end-to-end software development life cycle, contribute to architecture decisions, and collaborate with product managers and other engineers to deliver robust features that improve availability and efficiency for AWS customers.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years in design or architecture of new and existing systems.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

Responsibilities

• Take end to end ownership of the software development life cycle, including design, testing, deployment and operation.
• Help establish technical direction, foster team culture, and deliver features to internal and external customers.
• Be hands-on and participate in architecture decisions, design reviews, code reviews, and implementation.
• Champion operational, technical and process improvements.
• Work with managers and engineers to deliver the roadmap.
• Interact with customers to respond to queries, issues, and complaints.
