Job summary

Champion Data in Adelaide is seeking motivated people to join our casual match day data collection team for the 2027 SANFL season. The LIVE CAPTURE role requires listening to the caller and capturing all statistics using a company-provided computer and mouse, at the venue.

Successful applicants join a roster that may continue across seasons, with weekend availability on Saturdays across February to September and a training program.

Responsibilities

• Live CAPTURE during matches at venue, listening to caller and recording statistics.

Champion Data is now seeking highly motivated people to join our casual match day data collection team in South Australia – Adelaide.

There are positions available for the below role during the 2027 Season for the SANFL League (Men’s & Women’s), Reserves (Men’s), U16 (Boys) & U18 (Girls and Boys) competitions which are outlined below:

• LIVE CAPTURE – Listening to the caller and capturing all statistics using a computer and mouse provided by the company (role conducted at venue)

Employees are retained across seasons therefore successful applicants can continue with the company for future years without reapplying.

About You

• High availability on Saturdays between late February-September based on approximately 70% of SANFL fixtured matches being played on this day of the week
• A thorough knowledge of the rules of AFL (essential)A proven record in accountability, reliability, and punctuality
• Clear and concise communication skills
• Familiarity with Windows environments
• Work on a rotating roster alongside existing casual staff
• Communicate openly by exchanging information and actively listening to all stakeholders
• Work together collaboratively to achieve outstanding results

Application / Training Timeline

Applicants must be able to commit to the following during the paid training process.

• Approximately 10 one-hour online sessions with their trainer across mid/late January, February, March and early April and 2/3 three-hour sessions across April when live matches are being played

Online training content will need to be completed in preparation for the one-on-one sessions, this time is unpaid.
