Champion Data in Melbourne is seeking an experienced Broadcast Production & Crewing Coordinator to manage day-to-day Broadcast Operations and ensure the delivery of contracted products and services to clients.

You will coordinate freelance staff, rosters, travel, and onboarding while ensuring WHS compliance and collaboration with People and Culture & Finance. This role suits someone with on-air production experience and strong organisational skills.

• Experience with live sport or high-pressure broadcast roles.

• Excellent organisational and project management skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Oversee crew rosters, bookings & payments, travel, kit movements & paperwork.
• Provide Humanforce roster offers.
• Ensure rostering deadlines are met.
• Ensure all freelance employees’ availability is up to date.
• Ensure travel is booked where required for rostered matches.
• Provide upcoming weekend run sheets to staff weekly.
• Production Requirements & Logistics.
• Oversee HR and Payroll requirements.
• Onboarding documents with People & Culture & Finance to ensure timely returns.
• Ensure staff comply with WHS requirements and venue inductions.
• Maintain Human Force and other systems with up-to-date casual details.
• Payroll – ensure timesheets are authorised for payroll processing.
• Review casual pay rates annually for consistency.

About the job

Champion Data has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and dedicated Broadcast Production & Crewing Coordinator to join our team!

The Broadcast Production & Crewing Coordinator will run the day-to-day management of Broadcast Operations to ensure the reliable delivery of contracted products & services to Broadcast clients. The Production & Crewing Coordinator will help manage freelance / casual staff and liaise with third-party industry stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee crew rosters, bookings & payments, travel, kit movements & associated paperwork
• Provide Humanforce roster offers
• Ensure rostering deadlines are met
• Ensure all freelance employees’ availability is up to date
• Ensure travel is booked where required for rostered matches
• Provide upcoming weekend run sheets to all staff on a weekly basis
• Production Requirements & Logistics
• Oversee HR and Payroll requirements
• On boarding documents - work with People and Culture & Finance Department to distribute relevant on-boarding documents to new employees and follow up to ensure they are returned by the set deadline.
• Ensure staff are abiding by WHS requirements, including the completion of relevant venue inductions
• Management and integrity of Human Force (and other relevant Business systems) – e.g. ensure all casual employee’s details are up to date
• Payroll – ensure timesheets are authorised in time for payroll to be processed by the Payroll & Accounts Officer
• Casual pay rates - work with the People and Culture & Finance Department to review these on an annual basis to ensure consistency across staff and roles
• Attend internal department meetings as required

• Experience with live Sport or other high-pressure, broadcast roles
