Job summary

Recruitment Hive is seeking a Data Architect to join our client, a Federal Government Department focused on the disability community, in Brisbane. The role centers on technical leadership and shaping the data delivery framework for analytics-forward outcomes.

The position requires deep experience in enterprise data architecture within AWS, data lake/warehouse environments, and governance. You will guide data modelling standards and drive delivery from analysis to deployment.

Qualifications

• Strong Data Architecture skills including enterprise scale conforming models and analytical design.
• Proven competency in Data Architecture within an AWS cloud data environment (S3 and cloud warehouses).
• Experience leading cloud Data Lake and Data Warehouse platforms, including ETL and governance design.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership through design reviews and workshops.

• Set peer review and data modelling release standards.
• Own the technical implementation of new data from analysis to delivery.
• Guide on conceptual, logical and physical data models; use Erwin or similar tools.

Our client, a Federal Government Department focused on helping the disability community is seeking Data Architect to join their team in November.

Duties:

• Provide technical leadership to the project delivery teams through design reviews, advising on implementation best practices, defining and refining release process and technical workshops.
• Review and refine the data delivery framework to enhance integration of new sources, performance of existing data delivery and rapid development of new subject areas.
• Set peer review and data modelling release standards.
• Own the technical implementation of new data from analysis to delivery.
• Provide guidance on Conceptual, Logical and Physical data models and strong experience in Data model tools like Erwin.

Skills & Experience:

• Strong Data Architecture skills including Enterprise scale conformed models and ability to design for analytical use.
• Demonstrated high level of competency in Data Architecture within an AWS cloud data environment, encompassing S3 and contemporary cloud warehouse products.
• Strong experience in technical leadership for delivery of cloud Data Lake and Data Warehouse platforms, including ETL and data governance design and implementation.
• Strong expertise in SQL and experience with contemporary analytics coding languages (e.g. Python, R).
• Demonstrated knowledge of metadata/model driven frameworks.
