Job summary

Woods & Co Recruitment is partnering with a high-growth Australian fintech to appoint a Data & AI Architect who will own the organisation's data architecture and governance.

You will define data structures, drive the end-to-end data strategy across the data warehouse, source systems, CRM and integrations, and set standards for data contracts and quality in a rapidly evolving tech landscape.

Qualifications

• Proven Data Architecture experience with leadership of data standards.
• Hands-on Redshift data warehouse design, modelling and governance.
• Strong knowledge of data quality, lineage, glossaries and data contracts.
• Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM and data integration.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end data architecture across warehouse, sources, CRM, integrations and downstream consumers.
• Lead architecture of Amazon Redshift, including data modelling and data standards.
• Set the future Data & AI roadmap, establishing architecture standards for engineering teams.
• Build data governance from the ground up, including data quality, lineage, glossaries and enforceable contracts.
• Define systems of record and data ownership; develop roadmaps for consolidating systems.

We are looking for a Data & AI Architect to take ownership of the organisation's data architecture and play a key role in defining how data is structured, governed, integrated and used across the business.

What you’ll do:

• Own and evolve the organisation's end-to-end data architecture across the warehouse, source systems, CRM, integrations and downstream consumers.
• Lead the architecture of Amazon Redshift, including data modelling, warehouse design and data standards.
• Set the future Data & AI roadmap, establishing architecture standards that engineering teams can build against.
• Build data governance from the ground up, including data quality, lineage, business glossary and enforceable data contracts.
• Define the system landscape and source of truth, ensuring clear ownership of critical data across connected platforms.

What we’re looking for:

• Proven Data Architecture experience - someone who has genuinely operated as a Data Architect and set standards for other engineers to build against.
• Hands-on experience designing and governing Redshift data warehouse environments.
• Strong understanding of data quality, lineage, business glossaries, data contracts and warehouse modelling.
• Salesforce or a comparable CRM, with experience designing data flows, identity/access and integrations across a connected technology ecosystem.
• Able to define systems of record, manage data ownership and develop roadmaps for consolidating, replacing and retiring systems.
