Job summary

TAFE NSW is seeking a Data Analytics Engineer to deliver backend data solutions, build and optimise data pipelines, and work with cloud-scale data processing technologies. The role requires collaboration with users to understand data logic and how information is presented in databases and analytics outputs.

The successful candidate will engage in cross-functional design reviews, refine requirements, and contribute to scalable, fit-for-purpose solutions within an agile environment.

Qualifications

• Degree required or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline.
• Experience with data-centric programming and cloud-scale data processing using emerging big data technologies.

Responsibilities

• Deliver back-end data solutions using modern technologies.
• Develop, troubleshoot, optimise and refactor data pipelines to meet evolving business and analytical needs.
• Develop and maintain data solutions using cloud-scale data processing technologies.
• Engage with cross-functional teams in technical discussions, design and code reviews.
• Contribute during requirements analysis to ensure solutions are fit for purpose and scalable.
