Job summary

Australian Prudential Regulation Authority in Sydney CBD NSW is seeking a Data Analyst to transform complex operational risk data into insights that inform supervisory decisions and strengthen industry resilience. You will work in our Sydney office on CPS 230 data, focusing on incidents, critical operations, service providers and breach notifications.

You will use Power BI, SQL, R and Python to build dashboards and recurring reports, apply AI techniques to identify trends, and automate data

Qualifications

Strong data analytics and reporting skills with advanced query development.
Experience with Power BI and R/Python for dashboards and reporting.
Ability to identify trends and deliver data-driven insights.
Experience with AI and ML techniques for pattern detection.
Experience in data cleansing, data modelling and reporting automation.

Responsibilities

Analyse CPS 230-related data including incidents and breach notifications.
Develop dashboards, metrics, and risk indicators for operational resilience.
Automate data management processes, cleansing, validation, and reporting.
Apply AI and machine learning techniques to identify patterns, anomalies, and insights.
Produce concise, executive-ready reports and visualisations for senior stakeholders.
Collaborate with risk specialists, supervisors, and technology teams to enhance data-driven supervision.
