The Role

This is a hands-on Data & AI Consultant opportunity combining technical delivery with client-facing consulting.

You will work across data engineering, business intelligence, cloud and applied AI initiatives, taking ownership from initial discovery and requirements gathering through solution design, development and delivery. The role suits someone who enjoys both building solutions and working directly with stakeholders to understand what the business is trying to achieve.

You will operate across Python, SQL, Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Fabric, developing data solutions, integrations and applied AI capabilities while helping clients translate business challenges into practical technical outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build and integrate data, cloud, BI and applied AI solutions aligned to client requirements.


• Develop solutions using Python and SQL, including data processing, automation and engineering activities.


• Work across Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Fabric, supporting modern data platform and analytics solutions.


• Develop and integrate APIs and connected services across client environments.


• Engage directly with clients to gather requirements, analyse business problems and translate needs into fit-for-purpose technical solutions.


• Own delivery from discovery and solution design through development, troubleshooting, documentation and implementation.

Skills & Experience Required

• Strong hands-on development capability with Python and SQL, supported by sound Linux fundamentals.


• Commercial experience with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Fabric and modern data engineering practices.


• Experience designing or delivering BI, analytics or data platform solutions, with the ability to turn business data into useful outcomes.


• Practical experience implementing AI solutions within a business environment, rather than purely experimental or academic AI.


• Experience developing and integrating APIs, alongside confidence using Git and modern source control practices.


• Strong consulting and business analysis capability, with the communication skills to work directly with clients, understand ambiguous requirements and shape practical solutions.


• The successful candidate will be comfortable operating autonomously, diagnosing unfamiliar systems and making sound technical decisions where requirements may not always be fully defined.

Nice to Have

• Experience delivering solutions across a consulting, professional services or client-facing environment.


• Exposure to Power BI or broader Microsoft BI technologies.


• Experience estimating and scoping technical delivery work.


• Broader experience across data architecture, analytics engineering, automation or AI-enabled business processes.
