Job summary

Life Without Barriers in Darwin seeks an Aged Care Home & Community Assistant (female) to help older Australians live independently at home across Darwin. You will travel between client homes, with reimbursement for kilometres driven, and support daily living needs.

Shifts are casual & part-time, Monday to Friday 8am–7:30pm, with occasional weekends. Applicants must have a valid Australian driver’s licence, driving capacity, and relevant First Aid/CPR certifications.

Qualifications

• Australian Driver’s Licence with a reliable vehicle.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Experience and/or qualification in aged care or support work.
• Current Provide First Aid and CPR certificates, obtained before employment.
• Commitment to compassionate, person-centred aged care.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalised home care including light domestic assistance and meal prep.
• Assist with personal care, hygiene and health monitoring.
• Support access to medical appointments and social activities.
• Assist daily routines and build positive client relationships.
