Job summary

Life Without Barriers is seeking an Aged Care Home & Community Assistant to support older Australians in Rockhampton. You will travel between client homes to provide personalised home care, with shifts 7am–7pm, Monday–Friday, and occasional weekends.

A valid driver’s licence and a vehicle are essential, and you’ll be reimbursed per kilometre travelled. The role offers a casual hourly rate from $43.02 plus super, with pre-employment checks and opportunity to make a meaningful community impact.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills to build and maintain relationships with clients and families.
• Australian driver’s licence and reliable vehicle with third-party insurance.
• Passionate about making a positive impact in ageing care.
• First Aid and CPR certification required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and domestic assistance to older Australians
• Assist with daily living tasks including meal prep and light house cleaning
• Coordinate community access to medical appointments and social activities
• Support clients to maintain independence at home
• Build positive relationships with clients and their families
