Job summary

Seymour College in South Australia is seeking a Dance Instructor to join our co-curricular program on a casual basis. You will nurture a love of dance in students from Early Years to Year 6, developing confidence and technique under the guidance of our dance team.

The role focuses on Ballet with Jazz and Hip Hop, including choreography and preparation for performances. You will adapt lessons for varying abilities, monitor progress, and uphold child safety and wellbeing at all times, while

Qualifications

• Qualifications and/or significant experience in dance instruction.
• Strong Ballet training and teaching experience.
• Experience teaching young children in a school, dance studio or similar environment.
• Knowledge of Jazz and Hip Hop styles.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• A positive, energetic and reliable approach.
• The ability to motivate and inspire young dancers of all abilities.
• A collaborative and team-focused mindset.
• Current Working With Children Check, RRHAN-EC Fundamentals & Masterclass and HLTAID012 (or willingness to obtain).

• Teach and develop students' skills in Ballet, with complementary Jazz and Hip Hop instruction.
