Qualifications

  • Creating safe, nurturing and engaging learning environments.
  • Supporting children's academic, social and emotional development.
  • Monitoring, assessing and reporting on children's progress and development.
  • Building positive partnerships with families and caregivers.
  • Collaborating with teachers, co-educators and leaders to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Contributing to the wider life of the College through meetings, events and community engagement.

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Early Years Teacher to join our Early Years community in a permanent part-time capacity (2 days per week) commencing in January 2027.

Working collaboratively with colleagues, families and the wider College community, the successful candidate will provide engaging, play-based learning experiences that support the holistic development of young learners. Our Early Years program is grounded in contemporary best practice, including the Early Years Learning Framework, Reggio Emilia principles and a strong commitment to student wellbeing.

Key responsibilities include:

Desired Skills and Experience
About you

The successful applicant will demonstrate:

  • A Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood Education) or equivalent qualification.
  • Current Teacher Registration with the Teachers Registration Board of South Australia.
  • Knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), National Quality Standards and contemporary Early Childhood pedagogy.
  • Experience in, or a strong commitment to, play-based and inquiry-based learning.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A collaborative approach and commitment to continuous professional learning.
  • Alignment with the values and culture of Seymour College.
  • A genuine passion for supporting young children's learning and wellbeing.
