Job summary

Accenture is seeking a Senior Consultant to deliver AI governance, risk and control design services for clients in Australia. You will translate complex AI architectures into practical risk and control models spanning data, training, inference and outputs.

You will work with client security, risk, engineering and data teams to assess AI systems end-to-end, defining controls across models, infrastructure, pipelines and deployment environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in technology risk, cyber security, or technical consulting delivering client-facing engagements.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML and Generative AI architectures.
• Experience mapping technical security controls, not just process controls.
• Ability to assess and clearly communicate complex risk across models, data, and infrastructure to customers.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including visualising outputs in diagrams and documents.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Secure AI strategy and risk consulting projects.
• Lead complex projects with undefined scope and educate clients on AI use cases with documented ROI.
• Conduct high-level business analysis workshops to identify security risks and concerns.
• Conduct AI and model risk assessments across GenAI and ML workloads.
• Map technical controls across AI models, platforms and deployment pipelines.
• Assess and define controls covering data ingestion, training, inference, and outputs.
• Evaluate security and risk across AI infrastructure, MLOps, and GenAIOps pipelines.
• Translate AI architectures into actionable risk, control, and assurance artefacts.
• Align technical controls to security, risk, and regulatory frameworks.
• Support clients in operationalising AI governance and control models.
• Contribute to repeatable Secure AI risk frameworks, templates, and documentation.
• Collaborate across CyberCX and Accenture to add value and engage clients.

About the Role

The Senior Consultant is responsible for delivering AI governance, risk, and control design services to customers. The Senior Consultant supports organisations adopting Generative AI and ML by translating technical architectures into practical, enforceable risk and control models.

The Senior Consultant will work directly with client security, risk, engineering, and data teams to assess AI systems end to end—ensuring controls span models, infrastructure, data, inference, and generative outputs, not just policies and process.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver Secure AI strategy and risk consulting projects
• Lead complex projects where scope may be unclear, educate clients on AI use cases and ensure well defined business case ROI is documented
• Conduct high level business analysis workshops and deep dives to identify security risks and concerns
• Conduct AI and model risk assessments across GenAI and ML workloads
• Map technical controls across AI models, platforms, and deployment pipelines
• Assess and define controls covering data ingestion, training, inference, and outputs
• Evaluate security and risk across AI infrastructure, MLOps, and GenAIOps pipelines
• Translate AI architectures into actionable risk, control, and assurance artefacts

• Actively collaborate across CyberCX and continuously look for ways to add value. Facilitate communication, partnerships and cross-pollination across the business to allow teams to better engage and service customers

Preferred Qualifications, Experience & Skills

• 5+ years in technology risk, cyber security, or technical consulting delivering client-facing consulting or assurance engagements
• Strong understanding of AI/ML and Generative AI architectures
• Experience mapping technical security controls, not just process controls
• Ability to assess and clearly communicate complex risk across models, data, and infrastructure to customers
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including visualising consulting outputs in written, graphical and diagram (e.g. Visio, PowerPoint, Word)
