Job summary

TheDriveGroup is seeking an experienced Cyber Security Technical Services Manager to lead a team of security engineers and architects in Melbourne. The role combines hands-on technical depth with leadership and client-facing responsibilities to shape security platforms and services.

You will guide engineering, architecture and onboarding efforts, maintain security standards, and collaborate with customers to deliver effective security solutions and roadmap initiatives.

Qualifications

• Leads cyber security teams with ability to mentor engineers and manage performance.
• Excellent hands-on knowledge of SIEM and EDR technologies, including deployment and tuning.
• Background in Security Engineering, Architecture or Operations for enterprise environments.
• Experience designing, implementing, or supporting enterprise security solutions.
• Strong understanding of security monitoring, threat detection, and incident response.
• Excellent client-facing skills and ability to lead technical discussions with customers.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop a team of Cyber Security Engineers and Architects.
• Provide technical leadership across SIEM, EDR, security monitoring and cyber defence technologies.
• Oversee design, implementation and optimisation of enterprise security platforms.
• Guide technical decisions, troubleshoot complex challenges and support engineers with solution design.
• Define and maintain security architecture standards and technical best practices.
• Drive improvements across security operations, engineering and platform capabilities.
• Work directly with clients to understand requirements, provide technical guidance and deliver effective security solutions.
• Oversee technical delivery, customer onboarding and ongoing service improvements.
• Contribute to the technical roadmap and future development of security capabilities.
