Snowy Hydro is seeking an experienced Cyber Security Operations Manager to direct and elevate daily security operations across IT and OT environments in Melbourne.

You will lead a security team, coordinate incident response, and drive automation and governance improvements. This role collaborates with risk, resilience, and executive stakeholders to ensure preparedness and strategic security outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a modern SOC or incident response team in enterprise environments.
• Strong technical depth across SIEM, EDR/XDR, SOAR and threat intel.
• Ability to distill complex technical concepts for executives.
• Certifications or degree in Cyber Security are highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily SOC monitoring, detection platforms, and incident triage workflows.
• Act as Incident Manager for major incidents with containment, executive briefings, and post-incident analysis.
• Drive automation and detection logic improvements via SOAR playbooks.
• Partner with Risk and Governance to conduct BCP/DR tabletop exercises and refine playbooks.
• Oversee MDR/MSSP vendor performance and handoffs.
• Provide executive reporting and KPI dashboards for senior leadership.
