Job summary

Novon in Sydney is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer / SME to design, implement and optimize secure technology environments across SIEM, IAM, PAM, and automation.

You will work with stakeholders to identify security risks, strengthen controls and deliver scalable security solutions while helping define engineering standards and operational practices. This hands-on role blends technical delivery with advisory responsibilities for clients in a hybrid work setup.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years in cyber security engineering, operations or architecture.
• Hands-on with SIEM platforms (Splunk or Datadog).
• Experience designing or implementing IAM solutions.
• Experience with Okta for identity management.
• Experience deploying and managing PAM (CyberArk).
• Proficient in Python and Bash scripting for automation.
• Developing security monitoring, detection and alerting capabilities.
• Knowledge of authn/authz, SSO, MFA and RBAC.
• Experience integrating tools via APIs and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).

Responsibilities

As our capability continues to grow, we are looking for experienced Cyber Security Engineers and subject-matter experts to design, implement and improve secure technology environments. **The Opportunity** As a Cyber Security Engineer / SME, you will provide hands-on engineering expertise across security monitoring, identity and access management, privileged access management and security automation. You will work with technical and business stakeholders to identify security risks, improve controls and build practical, scalable solutions.
