Job summary

Perth Airport Pty Ltd is seeking a cyber security professional to monitor and enhance the organisation’s security posture across a diverse technology environment. You will manage SIEM, endpoint and email security, and lead incident response with a focus on timely investigations and post-incident analysis.

The role requires strong knowledge of NIST/ISO 27001, experience with Windows/Unix, and collaboration with stakeholders to drive secure changes and AI-enabled security improvements.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cyber Security or related discipline.
• Experience in systems administration or cyber security, with exposure to enterprise security technologies and environments.
• Strong knowledge of cyber security frameworks and standards such as NIST and ISO 27001.
• Experience supporting technologies such as SIEM, SCCM, Microsoft 365 security tools, vulnerability management platforms and malware protection solutions.
• Sound understanding of authentication technologies including Active Directory, public key infrastructure and multi factor authentication.
• Strong technical knowledge of networking, firewalls, proxies and Windows and Unix operating systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build trusted relationships across technical and business stakeholders.
• A collaborative and results focused approach, with the ability to remain calm under pressure, make timely decisions and adapt in a fast paced environment.
• Customer focused and proactive, with a commitment to finding practical solutions and delivering positive outcomes.
• A willingness to embrace AI enabled technologies, apply sound judgement to AI generated outputs and support responsible and secure AI use.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the organisation’s cyber security posture and respond to alerts, threats and vulnerabilities in a timely manner.
• Manage and maintain key security platforms including SIEM, endpoint security, email security, privileged access management and logging tools.
• Identify, test, package and coordinate the deployment of security patches across a diverse technology environment.
• Lead the investigation and response to cyber security incidents, providing technical expertise and post incident analysis.
• Produce accurate and timely reporting on cyber security performance, risks and compliance activities.
• Review and assess technology changes to ensure cyber security risks are appropriately managed before implementation.
• Coordinate security audits, penetration testing and compliance activities to support ongoing risk management.
• Identify opportunities to leverage AI and automation to improve security outcomes, operational efficiency and decision making.
