Job summary

HAMBS in Australia is seeking a Cyber Security Analyst to safeguard HAMBS' IT environments, providing proactive, operational, and reactive cybersecurity support. You will help implement and maintain security services to protect systems and infrastructure.

The role requires a relevant IT/CS degree, at least 3 years in information security, hands-on experience with vulnerability management, EDR, SIEM, and familiarity with Windows and Linux, firewalls, and cloud security controls.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in information security.
• Experience with vulnerability management, EDR, logging and monitoring.
• Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Familiarity with firewall and other network security controls.
• Knowledge of security frameworks (NIST CSF, ISO, PCI DSS).
• Scripting skills (PowerShell and/or Python).

Responsibilities

• Assist in threat modelling for applications, infrastructure and processes and document remediation.
• Perform control gap assessments and determine residual risk and effectiveness.
• Administer security tools including EDR/antivirus and conduct risk assessments.
• Support the Cyber Security Manager in implementing HAMBS Cyber Security Strategy.
• Monitor and manage cyber security threats across systems and logs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, MSSP, and vendors for monitoring tools.
• Review security alerts and perform event analysis across multiple log sources.
• Create and maintain runbooks, policies, and documentation.
