Job summary

ACECQA in Australia seeks a Manager, Cyber Security and AI to lead development and governance of our security and AI strategy. You will align policies, risk controls, and compliance with PSPF, ISO 27001, NIST, and MITRE ATT&CK, working with IT, risk and privacy teams and external vendors.

The role is full-time, Band 7/8, with a competitive salary and opportunities to shape cyber security across government-aligned initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience leading cyber security and security operations within government or mid-sized organisations.
• Knowledge of PSPF, ISM, Essential Eight, ISO 27001, NIST and MITRE ATT&CK frameworks.
• Experience governing AI strategy, risk management and assurance.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 Copilot and information protection controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and governance of ACECQA's cyber security and AI strategy and policies.
• Ensure legal, regulatory and risk obligations are met and advise on secure tech decisions.
• Oversee security controls, threat detection, data protection and compliance across teams.
• Collaborate with IT, risk, privacy and external vendors to implement secure systems.
