Job summary

The Network Technology Recruitment is seeking a senior AI Cyber Security & Controls Engineer to shape the secure and responsible adoption of AI within a major Federal Government environment. This Canberra-based, on-site role requires strong governance and risk experience.

You will work across AI governance, cyber security and Microsoft security controls, with a focus on risk, data protection and compliance with ISM, PSPF, Essential Eight and NIST frameworks.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in AI governance and Responsible AI.
• Strong cyber security and risk management capabilities.
• Experience with Microsoft security controls and governance tools.
• NV1 clearance or ability to obtain preferred.

Responsibilities

• Shape the secure and responsible adoption of AI within a Federal Government environment.
• Address AI security risks including prompt injection and data leakage.
• Implement MS Purview, DLP, Information Protection and Sensitivity Labels controls.
• Collaborate with governance, risk and security teams across the organization.

12 month contract x2 12 month extensions - Canberra based role full time on-site (minimum NV1 clearance)

You’ll work across AI governance, cyber security, risk and Microsoft security controls, with a strong focus on:

• AI governance, assurance and Responsible AI
• AI security risks including prompt injection, data leakage and model manipulation
• Microsoft Purview, DLP, Information Protection & Sensitivity Labels
• Microsoft 365 Copilot security and governance
• Defender for Cloud Apps and data protection controls
• ISM, PSPF, Essential Eight and NIST
• Azure AI Foundry, Fabric, Power Platform or Copilot Studio highly regarded
