Job summary

TasNetworks is seeking an experienced Cyber Governance, Risk & Compliance Lead to steer our cyber governance function and elevate our security maturity and risk posture in a critical infrastructure setting. You will shape policies, drive governance artefacts, and provide trusted guidance to business and asset owners while partnering with technology teams to strengthen resilience.

You'll lead monitoring, reporting, and assurance activities, develop KRIs and KPIs, and ensure regulatory obligations

Qualifications

• Experience leading cyber governance, risk and compliance functions.
• Strong knowledge of cyber security frameworks (NIST CSF, related standards).
• Ability to translate technical concepts to business outcomes.
• Proven stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
• Experience in regulated infrastructure environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and continuous improvement of cyber governance, risk and compliance frameworks.
• Develop and maintain cyber security policies, standards and governance artefacts.
• Provide guidance to stakeholders on cyber obligations and risk management.
• Assess and report cyber security maturity using recognised models.
• Coordinate compliance reviews, control assurance and maturity assessments.
• Develop KRIs, KPIs and executive-level insights for governance.
• Monitor and report cyber security risks, actions and remediation.
• Collaborate with Risk, Compliance, Technology and Operations teams.
• Maintain awareness of threats, legislation and best practice.
