Job summary

Amwins Australasia Division is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst to join the Cybersecurity team as the first line of defense. You will monitor using Defender XDR, analyze logs, and respond to security requests from users while helping to implement repeatable security processes.

You will collaborate with internal teams and stay current on threats, driving a security mindset across the organization through proper documentation and cross-team work.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in security operations or incident response.
• Hands-on with Defender XDR and Sentinel; knowledge of incident response lifecycle.
• Proficiency in KQL and basic scripting (PowerShell or Python).
• Understanding of MITRE ATT&CK, SIEM/XDR concepts, and cloud security.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, triage, and respond to security events using Defender XDR and related tools.
• Analyze logs and network traffic to identify potential threats and perform proactive hunting.
• Apply AI-assisted capabilities to speed triage and response with human validation.
• Document processes and support follow-the-sun incident containment and recovery.
