The Kuehne+Nagel Australia team is seeking a Customs Expert (Broker) to navigate complex import/export rules and keep cargo moving smoothly.

Based anywhere in Australia, you’ll classify goods, advise on free trade agreements, verify origin certificates, and guide clients through licences while building strong relationships with stakeholders.

You’ll play a key role in risk assessment for high-risk shipments and contribute to streamlined processes across our KN network and partners.

Competenze

• Licensed Customs Broker qualification (essential).
• Experience managing vendor performance, contracts and SLAs.
• Solid understanding of how logistics operations, products and services fit together, and how that drives better decisions.
• Track record of building and strengthening relationships with clients and stakeholders.

Mansioni

• Classify goods accurately for customs clearance and calculate duties, taxes and fees with precision
• Advise customers on free trade agreements and verify certificates of origin
• Guide key stakeholders through import/export licence requirements
• Review customs entries, valuations and tariff classifications, and support audits and customs case investigations
• Assess risk on high-risk shipments before they become problems
• Streamline customs processes by working with our KN network, customers, third-party providers and industry agencies
