Job summary

FedEx Australia is seeking a Customs Clearance Classifier to ensure accurate tariff classification and regulatory compliance for import and export shipments. You will classify goods based on customs regulations and HS codes, and review invoices, packing lists and product descriptions to determine the correct tariff classification.

You will collaborate with customers, freight forwarders and internal teams to resolve classification queries.

Qualifications

• Diploma of Customs Broking is essential.
• Knowledge of Australian customs regulations and tariff classification principles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required.

Responsibilities

• Classify goods based on customs regulations and HS codes.
• Review shipment documents (invoices, packing lists, product descriptions) to determine correct tariff classification.
• Collaborate with customers, freight forwarders, and internal teams to resolve queries and ensure compliance.
• Maintain knowledge of customs regulations, trade agreements, and tariff schedules.
• Liaise with ABF and other government agencies to ensure regulatory compliance.
