Job summary

ARC Metalcentre in Tamworth is seeking a hands-on, customer-facing Front Counter/Sales Administrator to join the team. Reporting to the Branch Manager, you’ll help trade and industrial customers find products, take orders, and ensure deliveries keep their business moving.

This permanent full-time role runs Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm. Experience in steel or heavy industry is valued, with Microsoft Office and SAP skills, strong interpersonal ability, and a proactive approach to problem

• Experience in customer service and/or sales administration.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to establish rapport.
• Experience in steel, construction, trade counter or other heavy industry is highly regarded.
• Microsoft Office & SAP system experience highly regarded.
• Experience in estimating and drafting in a similar industry is also highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Serving trade and industrial customers at the front counter and over the phone
• Process orders and follow-up on deliveries to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Managing stock levels
• Handling customer enquiries and providing tailored product advice
• Building strong relationships with regular trade customers

Reporting to the Branch Manager and based at our Tamworth Site, this is a hands‑on, customer-facing role where you’ll be the first point of contact for our trade and industrial customers, helping them find the right products, placing orders, and providing solutions that keep their businesses moving.

What you will be doing:

• Building strong relationships with regular trade customers
• Supporting general admin and sales tasks as needed

This is a permanent Full Time role working Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 4:00pm
