Job summary

Marlin Coast Swimming & Fitness in Cairns North is seeking a friendly Customer Services Officer to join our team. You will be the first point of contact for patrons, handling kiosk and café sales, memberships, bookings and inquiries.

This role requires excellent communication, cash handling and a willingness to learn new systems in a fast-paced aquatic facility. We offer permanent full-time hours, a supportive team and a commitment to safe, welcoming environments.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service, hospitality, retail or reception.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A positive, friendly and professional attitude.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Confidence using computers and learning new systems.
• Experience with cash handling and POS systems (preferred).
• The ability to multitask in a busy environment.
• A flexible approach to working mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays.
• A team-first attitude and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Delivering exceptional customer service to patrons and visitors.

• Assisting with memberships, program enrolments and bookings.
• Preparing and serving food and coffee.
• Handling cash and EFTPOS transactions accurately.

• Responding professionally to customer enquiries and resolving issues where appropriate.
• Supporting a safe workplace by following all Workplace Health & Safety procedures.
• Working collaboratively with the wider facility team.
• Opening and closing of facility.

About the Role

This is a diverse customer service role where no two days are the same. You'll be responsible for providing exceptional front-of-house service while supporting the daily operations of our aquatic and recreation facility.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with memberships, program enrolments and bookings.
• Preparing and serving food and coffee (time to show off your barista skills).

About You

You'll be someone who genuinely enjoys helping people and takes pride in delivering outstanding service.

• Previous hospitality, café or retail experience.
