Job summary

Kennards Hire is seeking a Customer Service Person/Driver to support branches with expert advice, equipment pickups and deliveries, and customer care. Training will be provided to ensure readiness for hire and safety standards.

The role requires a valid driver’s licence, weekend availability on a rotating roster, and physical capability for loading/unloading. A proactive, team-oriented attitude is essential to help keep our gear ready and customers satisfied.

Qualifications

Experience in customer service across diverse settings (retail, hospitality, trades) preferred.
A valid driver's licence is required.
Weekend availability on a rotating roster is expected.
Role involves physical tasks including lifting and standing for long periods.
Strong communication skills and a proactive learning mindset are essential.
Interest in machinery with training provided in role.

Responsibilities

Instruct customers on safe equipment usage and operate as the driving/delivery liaison.
Perform pickups and deliveries to customer sites, loading and unloading equipment safely.
Deliver exceptional customer service in all interactions.
Maintain equipment by basic servicing and cleaning, ensuring readiness for hire.
Assist with branch facility cleaning and general equipment checks in/out.
