Job summary

Kennards Hire is seeking a Service Person Driver to connect customers with our gear, arrange pickups and deliveries, and ensure equipment is ready for hire. You’ll deliver expert advice, handle loading/unloading, and uphold high service standards across the branch.

You’ll join a long‑standing family-owned business with growth opportunities, training, and a supportive team culture. A valid licence, good fitness, and weekend roster availability are required.

Qualifications

• Backgrounds in customer service, building & construction, hospitality, retail, driver, landscaping, trade & maintenance
• A valid driver's licence is required
• Availability to work half day Saturdays on a rotating roster
• Role requires lifting and standing for long periods with the ability to pass a drug test
• Be proactive and keen to learn new skills
• Interest in machinery and equipment; training will be provided
• Positive attitude and team player

Responsibilities

• Instruct and demonstrate to customers how to safely use equipment
• As the Driver, perform pickup and delivery of equipment from customer sites including loading/unloading
• Provide exceptional customer service in all interactions
• Maintain equipment through regular servicing and minor repairs
• Perform cleaning of branch facilities and maintenance of equipment as required
• Perform equipment check-in/check-out inspections
