Job summary

Kennards Hire is seeking a Service Person Driver to be the vital link between branches, customers and projects. You will handle expert advice, pickups, deliveries and ensure equipment is ready for hire.

The role emphasises safety, customer service excellence, maintenance, weekend availability and a hands-on approach to machinery. You will join a long-standing family-owned company with strong training and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Successful applicants come from various backgrounds such as customer service, building & construction, hospitality, retail, driver, landscaping, trade & maintenance.
• A valid driver's licence.
• Availability to work weekends on a rotating roster.
• This role requires some physical components including lifting and standing for long periods; ability to pass a drug test.
• Be proactive and keen to learn new skills.
• An interest in machinery and equipment, training provided.
• A positive attitude and team player.

Responsibilities

• Instruct and demonstrate to customers how to safely use equipment.
• As the Driver, perform pickup and delivery of equipment from customer sites, including loading and unloading.
• Provide exceptional customer service in all interactions.
• Maintain equipment through regular servicing and minor repairs.
• Perform branch cleaning and equipment maintenance as required.
• Conduct equipment check-in and check-out inspections.
