Job summary

Commonwealth Bank in Gladstone is seeking a Customer Banking Specialist for the Gladstone Branch. The role is part-time (29 hours/week) with a fixed roster including weekday hours. You will engage with customers to understand their banking needs, explain products, and guide them through digital banking tools.

Join a team delivering everyday banking services to personal and small business customers and help customers achieve their financial goals with expert guidance and friendly service.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering exceptional customer service in financial services, retail or hospitality.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate financial terms clearly.
• The ability to ask the right questions, find solutions, act with integrity and put the customer first.
• Ability to work in a busy, commercial retail environment while seeing the big picture for customers.

Responsibilities

• Have in-depth conversations with customers about banking needs including Home Loans, Business Banking & Financial Advice.
• Support customers with enquiries, account maintenance and credit product applications.
• Complete Financial Health Checks to assess customers’ financial needs.
• Present options through education and demonstration of in-branch technology and digital banking.
• Problem solve and provide effective solutions while upholding processes and risk culture.

• 12.00pm - 4.00pm Tuesday
• 11.00am - 4.00pm Wednesday
• 12.00pm - 4.00pm Thursday
• 8.30am - 5.00pm Friday
