Job summary

CMC Markets is seeking a detail-oriented Custodial Operations Executive to join our Post Trade Operations team on a 6-month maximum-term contract. You will support international settlements and custody operations, ensuring accurate processing of client transactions and efficient handling of corporate actions.

You’ll bring stockbroking experience and a solid understanding of cross-border settlement processes, ASX/CHESS rules, and GBST Shares.

Qualifications

• Previous stockbroking experience, particularly in equity processing and post-trade operations.
• Knowledge of international share trading and settlement processes.
• Sound understanding of ASX rules, CHESS workflows and compliance requirements.
• Experience with GBST Shares, international custody arrangements or corporate actions is a plus.

What You'll Be Working On

Reporting to the Custodial Operations Manager, you'll support the daily operations of our international settlements and custody function. You'll be responsible for processing international equity transactions, managing custody holdings, completing reconciliations and supporting corporate actions to ensure accurate and timely outcomes for our clients.

Working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, you'll also help identify operational risks, resolve queries and contribute to process improvements that support the smooth running of our stockbroking operations.

You're comfortable managing competing deadlines, enjoy solving problems and understand the importance of accuracy when handling client assets and financial transactions. You'll bring a collaborative approach, communicate clearly and have the confidence to work independently when required.

You’ll also bring:

• Previous stockbroking experience, particularly in equity processing and post-trade operations
• Knowledge of international share trading and settlement processes
• A sound understanding of ASX rules, CHESS workflows and compliance requirements
• Experience with GBST Shares, international custody arrangements or corporate actions will be highly regarded
