Job summary
Hazelhurst Arts Centre, part of Sutherland Shire Council, seeks a Curatorial Assistant to support exhibitions and public programs. Reporting to the Curator, Exhibitions and Programs, you will provide curatorial, administrative, research and exhibition support across a diverse program including exhibitions, artist commissions, publications, touring projects and residency initiatives.

Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications in Fine Arts/Visual Arts or strong knowledge of Australian Art.
- Experience working in a gallery, museum or arts organisation.
- Knowledge of Australian contemporary art and art history.
- Understanding of museum-standard art handling and condition reporting.
Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and delivering exhibitions and related projects.
- Undertake research and support publications, grants and exhibition materials.
- Coordinate exhibition administration, including contracts and record keeping.
- Assist with exhibition installation and de-installation.
- Conduct artwork condition reporting and ensure proper handling, storage and transport.
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver high-quality exhibitions and public programs.
