Job summary

Ngwala Willumbong Aboriginal Corporation in Saint Kilda VIC is seeking a Residential Rehabilitation Program Manager. The role leads a culturally safe, Aboriginal-led program delivering high-quality AOD recovery services and strong client outcomes.

You will manage staff, oversight of program development, reporting, and community partnerships. The position emphasises trauma-informed care, ACCCO governance, and positive client outcomes within a supportive, sovereign framework.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience overseeing staff and program delivery.
• Experience in case management and client-centered service.
• Strong understanding of AOD issues in Aboriginal communities and cultural safety requirements.
• Ability to work within ACCO frameworks and with community stakeholders.
• Commitment to quality improvement, data reporting, and administrative systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations of the residential rehabilitation program, ensuring safe, culturally responsive services.
• Supervise staff, provide coaching, recruitment, onboarding, and staff development.
• Oversee client intake, treatment planning, and progress reviews with an emphasis on outcomes.
• Maintain program records, budgeting and administration, audits, and compliance.
• Coordinate stakeholder relationships and referrals with partner agencies.
• Manage data collection, reporting, and client confidentiality across systems.
• Support a positive, respectful, and culturally safe workplace environment.
