Job summary

Engineers Australia is seeking a Culture Program Lead to establish and run our enterprise-wide culture initiative. The role translates insights into a practical roadmap, strengthening leadership alignment, accountability and collaboration across the organisation.

Working with executives and governance groups, you will drive cultural change, embed it in leadership and processes, and support the Horizons Strategy. This is an 8-month fixed-term role with immediate start.

About The Role

The Culture Program Lead is responsible for establishing and leading Engineers Australia's enterprise-wide Culture Program, creating a clear understanding of the current culture and defining the culture required to support the Horizons Strategy. The role will translate cultural insights into a practical and sustainable roadmap that strengthens leadership alignment, accountability, decision-making, collaboration and ways of working across the organisation. Working closely with leaders, governance groups and the People Team, the Culture Program Lead will build momentum for cultural change while embedding ownership into existing leadership, governance, people and performance processes. Acting as a trusted advisor and facilitator, the role provides objective challenge and specialist expertise while building internal capability to sustain cultural change over the long term. The position plays a critical role in connecting culture to strategy execution, organisational performance, member experience, governance maturity, risk management and transformation outcomes.

This is an 8-month fixed term opportunity with an immediate start for the right candidate.

In This Role You Will

Here’s What We’re Looking For
  • Proven experience leading enterprise-wide culture transformation, organisational development or change programs from diagnosis through to implementation, partnering closely with Executive Teams, senior leaders and governance bodies.
  • Strong capability in culture diagnostics and organisational assessment, using surveys, workforce data, risk indicators and qualitative feedback to identify cultural strengths, gaps and priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to define and embed organisational culture, including values, behavioural frameworks, leadership expectations, capability requirements and ways of working aligned to strategic objectives.
  • Experience in influencing senior stakeholders, preparing Board and committee-level materials, facilitating discussions and building alignment on transformation priorities.
  • An ability to drive leadership effectiveness, accountability, behavioural change and capability uplift across the organisation.
  • Proven ability to translate strategy into practical cultural and organisational initiatives, including defining desired behaviours, decision-making practices, governance expectations and measurable outcomes.
  • Proven program leadership capability, including governance, executive reporting, risk management, benefits realisation and partner management. Credible, pragmatic leader who can navigate ambiguity, influence and build internal capability to sustain cultural change long after the program concludes.
