Job summary

Legal Aid NSW is seeking an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person for a temporary full-time role in Sydney. You will provide confidential, culturally safe support to employees and leaders, strengthening respectful workplace practices.

The role emphasises Aboriginal lived experience and cultural knowledge, with flexible work arrangements and potential travel to regional offices. Pre-employment checks are required and the position is based at the Central Sydney office.

Qualifications

• Applicants must identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander and be accepted in the community as such.
• Willingness to travel to regional and metropolitan offices as required.
• Undertake pre-employment checks such as Working with Children Check, Criminal Record Check and Conduct Service Check

Responsibilities

• Provide culturally safe, confidential support to Aboriginal employees, leaders and teams.
• Strengthen respectful workplace practices across Legal Aid NSW.
• Contribute to respectful workplace prevention, education and early support.
• Build strong relationships and navigate sensitive conversations with empathy and professionalism.
