Qualifications

• Current Blue Card or willingness to obtain (Mandatory)
• Current C Class Drivers Licence (QLD) (Mandatory)
• Current National Police Check or willingness to obtain (Mandatory)
• Certificate III in Dental Assisting or equivalent qualification, with relevant dental assisting experience
• Strong knowledge of dental procedures, sterilisation, infection control, equipment, and clinical safety
• Excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills with a compassionate, patient-focused approach
• Commitment to providing culturally safe, respectful, and inclusive care to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities

Responsibilities

• Provide chairside assistance to dentists during examinations, treatments, procedures, and emergency care
• Prepare dental surgeries, instruments, materials, and equipment to ensure efficient and safe clinical operations
• Support patient care by providing clear communication, reassurance, and culturally respectful assistance throughout the dental experience
• Assist with dental procedures while maintaining patient comfort, dignity, and confidentiality
