Job summary

Lane Cove Council is seeking a dynamic professional to coordinate the direction and delivery of its cultural programs, including arts and community events that reflect a unique local identity.

The role requires WWCC clearance, a degree in Arts or Communications, and proven experience in cultural development and events management, with ability to manage outdoor events and work evenings or weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Current Paid Worker - Working with Children Check clearance (NSW).
• Ability to attend out-of-hours events as required.
• Degree in Arts or Communications or relevant experience in cultural development/events management.
• Significant understanding of processes involved in delivering community cultural development programs including public events, place-making initiatives, cultural programs and public art.
• Proven experience in providing creative direction for marketing events and cultural projects.
• Significant experience in managing outdoor events and live performances.
• Advanced oral and written communication skills.
• Highly-developed organisational skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure.
